Custom Cushions & Pillows

Finger Lakes Cushions Pillows

This three season room with a 10′ wide bench needed a custom fabricated window seat cushion, custom pillows, and chair cushions for the dining set. The designer specified snap tabs for the chair cushions to keep them firmly in place as the grandchildren move from lunch to swimming and back again throughout the day!

The windows were dressed with Hunter Douglas Designer Roller Shades with light filtering fabric to block the heat and glare as the sun is setting.

The designer used outdoor fabrics from Thibaut and Greenhouse to stand up to the summer sun. We particularly loved the Thibaut Turtle Bay in Marine Blue for one of the pillows – the perfect design and color for a lake house!

Custom Drapery Panels & Roman Shades

Finger Lakes Panels & Romans Web

This lovely summer-house Master Bedroom featured gorgeous views of Canandaigua Lake.

The blackout drapery panels offer the homeowners the option of blocking the morning light for sleeping in while on vacation.  These custom drapery panels feature a baton-draw for easy opening and closing.  The rod goes wall to wall so that the panels stack off the French doors. This preserves the beautiful lake view when the panels are open.

The designer chose Helser Brothers 1-¼” diameter wrought iron hardware with French returns for a clean look.  The 1-¼” diameter allows for the wide span with only a center bracket.

The coordinating blackout roman shade on the side window features a cordless lift system.  This offers an easy up and down motion with no unsightly lift cords.

Shaped Cornices

The homeowner did not want to block the beautiful view of the lake (no surprise!) The designer chose shaped upholstered cornices to frame the window and preserve the views.

This fun Maxwell fabric called “Dangerous Curves” in the color “Wave” was specified. The color and pattern bring the beauty and movement of the lake into the family room.

Hidden up behind the cornices are Hunter Douglas Silhouettes.  The two layers of sheers lightly filter the sun and provide UV protection for the furnishings.  The vanes of these shades can also be tilted closed for full privacy when closing the house for the winter.
